BEGIN READING NOW:

A demon’s eye glitters in the harp’s reflection. At that narrowed glare, my nerves awaken. I wipe my palms on my crisp trousers, heft the harp into my arms, and walk through heavy purple curtains onto the stage as Mr. Vincent booms, “Next we have Rosenfay Marsh on the harp.”

Every millisecond of expectant silence from the audience sends a new prick of nervousness through me.

“Don’t disappoint me,” the demon hisses.

COVER REVEAL: The Legend Mirror series

Cover reveal month continues!!

I wanted to redesign The Beast of Callaire + The Dryad of Callaire to better reflect their urban fantasy natures, and make the books stand out more. The previous green and blue covers will still remain on the paperbacks, and that design will continue through the rest of the physical books.

What do you think of the new design? Comment below with your thoughts!

Words & Wonders (53)

Welcome to Words & Wonders, a weekly journal of writing updates, links I've found useful or interesting, and book recommendations. I hope W&W will prove to be useful to you writers out there as well as offering an insight into my writing progress for my readers. Don't forget to leave a comment with your own writing progress!

In the Writing Cave, this week:

- I prepped a whole bunch for my secret release. Graphics made, statuses drafted, blog posts scheduled, plus I read through the thing a final time to make sure it's perfect and ready to go. It's been SO LONG since I released anything.

- I've written 10,418 words of MurderNovel and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. It's super challenging but so much fun! I'm really pushing myself daily with this, trying not to waste any time. Time management is where I go wrong a lot, and I'm doing my best to correct it.

In my life:

- I've been sick and shitty these past four days, so have got no work done. Those 10K are just from the beginning of the week...

On the internet, this week I found useful:

A Book I've loved Lately:

Finally caught up with this series!! Books 2 & 3 had WAY more action and intensity than the first and I loved them so, so much. I heart Garret but for half of Rogue I was falling for Riley/Cobalt too. Until he became ultra possessive and a major dick again. And I'm not ready to talk about the end of Soldier yet. Or ever.

NEW: Buy signed copies of my books!!

In the Writing Cave, this week:

- I finished editing a project for a secret release. Shh, don't tell! I edited 21 pages.

- I've written 4,700 words of LibraryHeist, my YA fantasy WIP AND FINISHED IT!!!!

ALSO:

- I'm mass planning an impromptu project. I shall refer to it as MurderNovel, which sums it up nicely. There's murder, there's girlfriends, there's a thousand red herrings. I have until the end of June to write it and no longer. Should be fun.

In my life:

- I've spent more hours planning and researching things for MurderNovel than I have sleeping these past few days....

I'm going through a thriller/murder-mystery kick. Obviously. Here are some I've loved.

A day late this week. Between being sick and Eurovision, I couldn't find time yesterday.

In the Writing Cave, this week:

- I've written 4,700 words of LibraryHeist, my YA fantasy WIP. At least it's more than last week...

- I've second drafted 18 pages of The Powers of Callaire. Not great but I've had a bad week, health-wise so I'm still pleased!

- I'm editing a project for a secret release. Shh, don't tell! I've edited 9 pages so far but I only started a couple days ago.

In my life:

- I mentioned Eurovision, right???? It was AMAZING. I wanted Dami from Australia to win because that song is MY JAM but I'm very happy Ukraine won.

On the internet, this week I found useful:

- Nothing. Sorry, folks. Bad week.

COVER + TITLE REVEAL: Kiss of Gold & Thorns

Continuing on the redesign from yesterday, LOVE IN THE GILDED AGE is getting a new title and cover adjustment! The stories inside are all the same, but now the title better reflects them (and doesn't confuse the Rumpelstiltskin story for which it was named with the actual Gilded Age in history...)

I hope you like the new and improved cover and title!

COVER REVEAL: The Forgotten & The Wandering redesign!

Out with the gloomy, in with the bright and colourful!

For the past few months I've been debating giving the 2 released The Lux Guardians books a little makeover. Their previous covers were dark and you couldn't really tell what was happening in them. I still love The Forgotten's cover, because it was my first, but it could be better.

I still plan to give THE WHOLE SERIES a face-lift to coincide with the release of books 3 and 4, but until then I wanted TF & TW to stand out a little, instead of blending into the crowd. This is just a digital redesign, so the waiting list paperbacks will (and always will) have the same design.

What do you think of the new covers?

~Saruuh

The Lux Guardians is a YA science fiction series taking place in two time periods, with a diverse cast of characters, a totalitarian President, Britain in ruin, and a desperate rebellion.

50TH WORDS & WONDERS!!!!!
I honestly never thought I'd get this far but I'm pretty proud :D

In the Writing Cave, this week:

- I've written 3,187 words of LibraryHeist, my YA fantasy. I've lost a bit of motivation this week but trying to push myself to write more. 3K a week is pitiful tbh.

- I've second drafted 33 pages of The Powers of Callaire. Double what I'd planned, so that's good!

In my life:

- I'm low on energy and motivation. Bleh.

On the internet, this week I found useful:

- Nothing. Sorry, folks.
